Established in 2002, CityBlock Group is a family–owned property business, specialising in developing, investing and managing purpose-built student accommodation across the UK. With a strong track record spanning 17 years, CityBlock Group has enjoyed huge success in the student accommodation market. We harness our team’s expertise in the property, design and construction markets, to deliver economical and effective property management as part of our results-driven approach. This has allowed us to achieve 100% occupancy throughout our 17 years of operation, with an average rental growth of 5% per annum across all of our sites.

We have an in-depth knowledge of dealing with historic and listed buildings, transforming them into high-quality student accommodation whilst also staying true to the heritage of the original site. Our façade retention and ‘fossilisation’ solutions implemented in previous projects have been commended with a number of design awards.

We are well-recognised within our own industry, with all of our student accommodation being accredited and nationally recognised by Accreditation Network UK (ANUK) – the UK’s landlord accreditation body, which is supported by the National Union of Students (NUS). In 2016, we were proud to add the International Accommodation Quality Mark to our list of accreditations, having achieved at least a 90% satisfaction rate amongst international students. Additionally, in 2017 we were awarded Best Moving In Experience, and for a second year running were finalists in the Best Small Provider category in the National Student Housing Survey.
